Dr. John Christenson is a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician at Riley and a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics of the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his medical studies and pediatric residency at the University of Puerto Rico; and a pediatric infectious disease fellowship at the University of Oklahoma. He is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He has special certifications in clinical tropical medicine and traveler?s health. He has vast international experience throughout Central America, the Caribbean, and West Africa. Dr. Julie Keck is a Developmental Pediatrician at Riley Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics of the Indiana University School of Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the University of California Los Angeles. She returned to Riley to do a fellowship in Developmental Pediatrics. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. In addition to the International Adoption Clinic, she specializes in the care of premature infants, children with special needs, developmental delays and genetic syndromes. Dr. Maria Finnell is a board-certified pediatrician who is actively involved in specialty training in Infectious Disease and International Health at Riley. She grew up in Sweden and received her medical degree from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm. She completed her pediatric residency at Riley Hospital. She was chosen to do an additional year as pediatric chief resident. Dr. Finnell has international medical experience in Great Britain, Kenya, and Vietnam. She and her husband have personal experience with International Adoption in China. Amy Rakestraw is a pediatric physical therapist at Riley. She specializes in international adoption, neurodevelopmental treatment, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy and genetic disorders, vent dependent children, serial casting. She received her BS in Biology at University of Indianapolis in 1997. She obtained her masters degree in Physical Therapy at the Krannert School of Physical Therapy, University of Indianapolis in 1999. She was actively involved in International Adoption evaluations at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from 2000-2002. She joined Riley Hospital for Children in 2002. Stephanie Fahner |
